Ashley Wagner & Karen Chen Headline NBC Sports’ Coverage of Skate Canada This Weekend

NBC Sports: This weekend, NBC Sports Group presents 14.5 hours of coverage of Skate Canada from Saskatchewan, the second event in the 2017 International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series. Headlining the field are 2016 world silver medalist and three-time U.S. champion Ashley Wagner and 2017 U.S. Champion Karen Chen.

NBCSN will present coverage this Sunday, October 29, at 11:30 p.m. ET, and NBC will present encore coverage on Sunday, November 5, at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Terry Gannon handles play-by-play on both NBC and NBCSN, joined by 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and three-time U.S. champion Johnny Weir.

The women’s field features fierce competition highlighted by Wagner and 2017 world silver medalist Kaetlyn Osmond of Canada, along with Chen, who won her first U.S. title and finished fourth at the World Championships last season.

Japanese teenager Shoma Uno, who finished second at the 2017 World Championships and recently posted the fourth-highest total score ever at Lombardia Trophy, and 2014 Olympic silver medalist and three-time world champion Patrick Chan of Canada highlight the men’s competition. 2014 Olympian Jason Brown will represent the American effort.

Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will present 13 hours of live coverage of the event.
